The MCA Blog: May 2006

The MCA Blog: May 2006
Hey, y'all! What fun! I had forgotten quite a bit of this stuff. I am passing on the info Veronica Hernandez. I had told her about this and she was quite interested. I'll have to find some of my photos, too, and see what memories I can post. Yeah, our hair was quite interesting in those days, huh?

Update

Hey all! Great news. The results from my surgery came back. While there was a highly aggressive strain of cancer in the tissue they removed, it had not spread outside of the margins. In other words, the doctor says he feels very comfortable that they got it all. Awesome!!! I cried for almost ten minutes in the doctor's office when he told me. I had managed to get myself so worked up. I am going back in another week so they can see if there's any new growth, and then there will be a follow-up visit every two weeks for awhile just to keep tabs. (Thank God for Aetna!) The best news would have been that there was no cancer, but this really is the 2nd best. I am so grateful and relieved and just plain excited right now...Praise God. Been super busy. Zoe got her cast off, FINALLY! So, we all spent this past weekend at the beach. Love to read the posts. This was such an awesome idea. Why didn't we do this years ago?!? Has anyone told Chago or Juan yet? Gotta run...Laurie

THE DANCE OF JOY!

AND NOW INTRODUCING!!!.......Joel Duffield and D.J. Cimino (as Larry Appleton and Balki Bartokomous) performing the traditional "Dance of Joy" after winning numerous volleyball and basketball games..........does anyone else get a hilarious mental picture when I say that? Somewhere in my possession is an old video that my father-in-law took after a volleyball game back in the early 90's of this "Legendary Duo" performing this truly "class act". According to Wikkipedia, "the 'Dance of Joy' is a silly cross between a Dosado and the Hokey Pokey", and heaven knows what else Joel and D.J. threw in there! :) It might take me awhile to find it and learn how to make a video link, but I just got a revelation of what my next project is going to be...............................All my love forever and ever - Lynlee......*sinisterly laughing*...........
